netherlands

first try to blog some stuff both in english and hungarian. :)

i spent the last week in the netherlands, in the left top corner of an island in the Northern Sea. as far as i know, it was closer to England than to Germany. i attended a summer school there on the life and death of the protoplanetary disks.

the weather acted as i expected: 17 degrees, daily rain and sun, with some constant wind. almost like autumn, but the sun was up from 4am to 23pm, since it was almost summer solstice.

i was surprised that all dutch people spoke quite perfect english, much better then the average german does. and i also really liked that there were a couple of native english speakers, with whom i could talk real, full english without needing to rephrase every second sentence. the downside is that it only lasted a week, and then everyone returned to somewhere on Earth.
